Dr. Riyaz M. K. Khan is a highly accomplished geologist with over 37 years of global experience spanning mineral exploration, mining operations, and academic leadership. He holds M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Geology and has worked across 16 countries, including India, Oman, multiple African jurisdictions, and Latin America.
A Fellow of the Geological Society of India (London) and the Society of Economic Geologists (USA), Dr. Khan has held senior leadership roles including Chief Geologist, Project Manager, Vice President (Exploration), and Chief Executive Officer with prominent mining organizations. His technical expertise covers a broad range of commodities, including gold, iron ore, bauxite, coal, copper, gypsum, uranium, diamonds, graphite, and lithium.
Recognized as a Competent Person under JORC guidelines, Dr. Khan brings deep expertise in resource estimation, exploration strategy, project management, and the strategic evaluation of mineral assets. In his role as Chief Geologist, he provides technical leadership and advisory oversight to ensure disciplined exploration, sustainable mining practices, and adherence to international best practices.
